At NEEDVID, your privacy and data security are foundational to our operations. Because our stock footage platform operates with zero user account registration, zero profile creation, and zero financial transactions, we do not collect, harvest, or process any Personally Identifiable Information (IPI / PII) from our visitors. You can browse and download our media assets completely anonymously.
1. Technical Logging and Third-Party Sub-Processors
While NEEDVID does not maintain an internal database to track your identity, our critical infrastructure dependencies process standard, non-identifying technical logs to maintain uptime, secure network parameters, and compile aggregate analytics:- Google Blogger Framework: Google processes generalized traffic metadata, including browser types, referring URLs, and regional visitor distributions, to compile the basic visitor count metrics shown on our dashboard.
- YouTube Media Player: Video previews are streamed via embedded YouTube components. When you click play, YouTube independently processes video interaction metadata, player preferences, and performance metrics in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare Architecture: Our file delivery assets are routed through Cloudflare to secure our custom download subdomain (videos.needvid.com). Cloudflare processes automated server requests, IP routing data, and file transfer sizes strictly to defend our R2 storage buckets against malicious automated bot networks and cyber attacks.
2. User-Initiated Email Communication
If you choose to contact us directly via our public support email routes, we will receive your email address, your name, and any contextual information you provide in the message text.- Purpose: We use this information strictly to resolve your platform feedback, answer licensing questions, or process formal DMCA copyright inquiries.
- Protection: Your email communication is handled securely by our integrated email host. We strictly promise never to share, lease, rent, or sell your contact coordinates to third-party advertising brokers or network trackers.
- Retention: We delete communication logs periodically once your support ticket or inquiry has been completely resolved.
3. Data Retention Limits
Because we do not collect personal profiles, email newsletters, or contact directories, NEEDVID retains zero data files belonging to you. Any aggregate server logs generated by our third-party routing infrastructure are automatically anonymized or purged in accordance with the strict maintenance timelines enforced by Google and Cloudflare.4.
